In the 6th round of the K&H men's handball league, the ETO University Handball Team received the Veszprém HC team exceptionally in the Audi Aréna Győr. Veszprém dominated the match from the first minutes, and at halftime the guests had a solid eight-goal advantage. In the second half, there was no question about the guests' victory either, and the match ended with a 22-37 victory for Veszprém.
Borisz Dörnyei, Tibor Gerdán and András Koncz were not included in today's match.
The match started with a ceremonial kick-off, which was performed by Sándor Freiman, the owner-manager of Cutler Győr.
Head coach Bálint Kilvinger started in defense with Nagy, Dely, Bombac, Bozovic, Laurinyecz, Vilovski, while Bősz was in goal. The players from Veszprém started and Remili immediately converted the first attack into a goal. After that, Bozovic found the visitors' goal, and Nagy ended a nearly ten-minute scoreless period with his goal (2-7). Bősz and Coralles in the guest goal also helped their team with saves, so our team could not get closer. In the 20th minute, the scoreboard showed a 7-13 advantage for the guests. The teams went into the break with an 11-19 lead in Veszprém.
At the beginning of the second half, Dávid Kozári, celebrating his 18th birthday, was able to take the kick-off.
The second half also started with a guest goal, but Balogh and Hári responded (13-20). The visiting team also showed its superiority in the second half and in the 40th minute, the team from Bakony led 17-28. The guests kept increasing their lead, and by the last ten minutes of the match, the teams were ahead with 12 goals in Veszprém (20-33). In the end, Veszprém won by 15 goals, 22-37.
